Gail's Weekly Chamber UPDATE

Our weekend was filled with festive holiday and family events. There was so much going on! Hope you had a great weekend!

Check out the new store, Global Handmade Hope, that just opened in Park Ridge next to Jackie’s Nails on Touhy. The products are mostly imported from Africa and the women are paid a living wage and no child labor is used in any of the products. They have wonderful fabrics from Rwanda and jewelry and baskets and coffee and more! The owner is Cynthia Glensgard – please stop in a say hi (and buy something!).

Our Chamber will be participating in many Multi Chamber events throughout 2010 so when you’re signing up, I’d appreciate if you sign up through this Chamber as then we get a small profit on each sign-up. Thank you.

This is going to be another busy week so read on…

Perry Wein, the local Edward Jones financial advisor, is supporting the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program by using his office as a drop-off location for this year's toy drive.
