For example, tomorrow is the Retail meeting at TeaLula and the Newsletter meeting here at the Chamber. The golf outing meeting is Thursday and the Ambassadors have their luncheon also. Friday is the leads and referral networking group, PREN 3, and we’re looking to add more people to it as it’s the newest one.

First Fridays “Dog Days of Summer” was a huge hit with many Park Ridge residents in attendance. Dog rescue agencies were stationed throughout Uptown Park Ridge providing a great atmosphere to celebrate man’s best friend. Pictures of some of the great dogs in attendance can be found on the First Fridays website. Mark your calendar for next month’s event, Cruisin’ Park Ridge which will be held on September 2nd.

Park Ridge Chamber members and the Chamber board came out to support a new member's grand opening this week: Jack & Jill Kids, Cuts, and Toys, located in the Uptown redeveloped area at 70 N. Northwest Highway. As always, the red ribbon was cut with the Chamber's oversized ceremonial scissors. Afterwards, all were treated to delicious catering from Houlihan’s.

Saturday, August 27 is the Harry O’Brien Community Run/Walk. The event will start at The Park Ridge Senior Center at 9am for runners and 9:15am walkers. The Fun Run Course is 3 miles flat & fast loop, and the Kids Run & Walk Course is a 1.5 mile loop. Register online: $22 adult registration, $15 18 years and under, & bring the whole family! -Strollers, bicycles, and dogs are welcome- Help raise money to benefit local social service agencies.
