Weekly Chamber Update

I hear all the time what a busy and active Chamber we have! If you have any ideas to make the Chamber work better for you and your needs, I’d love to hear from you. It’s hard to please all the people all the time but we like to try! There are other committees we could have if we had volunteers to lead them. Is there something you’d like to see in your field which would help you grow your business?

Chicago Bears vs. Buffalo Bills on Saturday, August 13 at 7 p.m. Soldier Field. 2 tickets (Sec 428 Row 111) donated by Kris Hansen, Bethany Terrace. Face value is $74 each or $148 for both. Highest bidder gets them. Cash or check only. Proceeds to the Chamber.

Did you know that for just $50, we can send out a dedicated eblast to 650 member contacts for you?

Thank you to The Des Plaines Elks Lodge for hosting our monthly Business After Hours last Thursday. About 25 guests were in attendance, and it was overall a great event for networking, food and drinks. If you are interested in hosting a Business After Hours, please contact the Chamber at 847-825-3121 for more information!

August 3, Wednesday, 3pm Paul Davis Emergency Services Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting – all members invited!

August 4, Thursday, 10am-11:30am (EKG) Entrepreneurial Knowledge Group Monthly Meeting A group for new and emerging enterpreneurs. We will again be setting out the strategy table for discussion, sharing and growth. Bring ideas, question and suggestions that you might want to explore for your business or for the group and share the opportunities that come from the experience. This has been warmly received as a part of what we do and how we grow as Entrepreneurs individually and as a group. As August tends to be a time to get away for many, the smaller group that gathers makes it an idea place for everyone to toss out an idea and get some useful feedback. It is a great time to focus on those issues that have been on the backburner for awhile too. A great opportunity to continue the relationship building thread of our earlier meetings!

August 5, Friday, First Fridays Park Ridge (open til 8pm or later) showcases Dog Days of Summer. Local dog rescue agencies will be at Uptown and South Park businesses. Bring your friendly dog out for some socializing fun!
