55 of you took the golf survey and overwhelmingly want to continue with the golf outing so the planning committee is full steam ahead! The date is June 24 – Wed – and it will be at the Chevy Chase Country Club for the 3rd year in a row.
Would you like to help out on the planning committee? We need extra hands. Also, we need sponsors and golfers and silent auction items!

Morningfields
I visited Danny DiStasio at Morningfields last week and he gave me a tour of the basement where all the baking is done from scratch and the kitchens where all the catering originates. The bakery is fully recovered from last year’s fire! Everything is perfectly clean and spotless and organized. They have an amazing selection of wine too! Please stop in for lunch – or place a catering order 847-696-4200 and support our Chamber members!
Lynette’s School of Dance
Bring a Friend Week at Lynnette's School of Dance starts today and goes through Saturday, March 14th. Call 847-823-7334 for more details.
Diddy Blyth
Diddy Blyth, A Sterling Design, is also a singing member of the Chicago Master Singers. Their performance “home” is the Devine Word Chapel on Waukegan Road north of Willow Road. Their April 17th and 19th spring concert, accompanied by the Ars Viva orchestra, has the best of the masters and the best of the living composers: Schubert’s Mass in A-flat major and Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Eterna. The chorus took some of Lauridsen’s shorter pieces to Provence, France last summer to great acclaim. Lux Eterna is his greatest masterpiece and Schubert speaks for himself. Park Ridge Garden Club
From PR Garden Club newsletter:
“Please bring in your unwanted small glass jars and small vases to be used to make fresh flower arrangements for the bedside tables of hospice patients and nursing home residents. Sometimes used food jars can make good containers…think recycling before tossing. Please bring the containers to the March meeting. Lorraine needs to have an idea of how many arrangements we can make so she can bring the appropriate amount of flowers. We will make the flower arrangements just before our April meeting. Those interested are invited to come early to help make the arrangements.”
Got an Old Stove to Donate?
