Gail's Weekly Chamber UPDATE

Marci Derrick and I attended the District 64 ELF Casino Night on Saturday and what a fun time it was! Dr. Bender did a fabulous job as the auctioneer! He missed his calling. As we walked in, the Park Ridge Community Star trophy was highlighted in the foyer - you couldn’t miss it!
Prepare for the blizzard! Hopefully, it’ll pass us by but stay warm and safe as I heard it’s a ‘life-threatening’ storm coming through.
This Saturday is the Wolves game and dinner at the Elks Lodge – it’s a fund raiser for the PR Community fund.
Wide Open West (WOW) cable joined the Chamber!

So, last week we had PREN 2, Health Care Forum, Business After Hours, and Women in Business!

PREN 2: Park Ridge Executive Network meets on the 4th Tuesday each month. Our PREN groups are leads and referral networking groups that meet monthly. In PREN 2 are and they’re looking for one person in Financial Services, a Real Estate Agent, and a Property & Casualty Insurance agent to join them:

Health Care Forum

Eleven organizations got together to discuss what we want to accomplish this year as the Health Care Forum and how best to reach out to our members and to the community. We’re finishing the Mission Statement with Lynda Tourloukis’ guidance. It’s a great group with high expectations of what we can do and accomplish!
What an event it was!

Thank you to Doug Stolz and his friends at Comcast Business Services for sponsoring the January Business After Hours. Thank you to Sergio Lazzara, chef and owner of Affresco for a fabulous time, food and drinks. It was 2 hours of all you could eat and drink of wood burning pizzas of all kinds, calamari, and bruschetta which were all fabulous! I bet we had between 60 and 70 people who came and went throughout the 2 hours! I saw a lot of networking going on and business cards being passed! Thank you, Doug and Sergio, for a great evening!
We had almost almost 50 attend our Women in Business to hear Sima Dahl speak about branding your business using social media – and WOW, was she dynamic, interesting and funny! It was a great presentation!

Panera Bread catered the breakfast with a variety of their fabulous breakfast sandwiches, lots of fresh cut fruit, orange juice and coffee. It was a delicious breakfast! Thank you to Mike, the local manager, and Ginni, the regional manager!
