The City has three FREE notification modes that residents and business owners can sign up for to receive important community information, traffic problems or emergency announcements. We learned that only a small percentage of the community is registered. We are striving to increase that number so that everyone is kept informed.

To start the signup process, go to the City's website at
www.parkridge.us.

Choose "STAY CONNECTED" on the left side of the home page screen.

When making your selection, you will be taken away from the Park Ridge website to connect with theirs. You will need to return to the City's website at www.parkridge.us to reconnect and make your next selection.

While in your office,
• Don't leave your valuables unattended, even if it is just for a moment. Purses, book bags, jackets, cellular telephones and laptops all make quick easy targets for thieves.
• Keep these and other valuable items with you at all times or locked in a drawer or closet.
• Keep your office door locked when left vacant.
• Check the identity of any strangers who are in your office. Ask whom they are visiting and if you can help them find that person. If this makes you uncomfortable, inform management about your suspicions. I also recommend that you immediately contact your Security Officer or Department.
• Always let someone know where you'll be, whether it's coming in late, working late, going to the photocopier or mail room, or going out to lunch or a meeting.
• If you bring to work personal items such as a coffee pot, audio equipment, or calculator, mark them with your name or initials and an identification number. Keep a record of any serial numbers.
Report to building management any broken or flickering lights, dimly lit corridors, doors that don't lock properly,
