Gail's Weekly Chamber UPDATE

Last week was another busy week! I was out every evening except Monday with the Retail Reception regarding First Fridays planning, Planning & Zoning at City Hall regarding Saving Iannelli Studios, Park Ridge Community Fund Board Meeting, and Business After Hours with Edison Park! And Saturday I was at Chico’s to help out on the fundraiser to benefit both the PRCF and MCYAF!
During the weekdays was the Ambassador New Member Orientation, the Health Care Forum, the Women in Business Breakfast (Catherine Johns spoke and Morningfields catered) and lunch with the North Suburban Chamber Executives to discuss alternate energy sources.
Working with all the arts to coordinate with First Fridays (read more further down), Cool Cities in Park Ridge to reduce our carbon footprint, Citizens Corps Council to prepare and respond to community wide disasters.
Your Chamber dollars at work – if you haven’t yet paid your dues for 2011, please do so!

Want to stay at a resort for a great price? One of our silent auction items at the Community Stars and Installation Dinner did not sell for the minimum so we still have it. I wanted to offer it for you to bid on and we’re lowering the minimum starting bid to $600. Let me know if you’re interested – email me with your bid!

First Fridays in Park Ridge The Chamber Retail Committee is leading the charge to open up Park Ridge on the First Friday of every month where everyone would stay open until 10 p.m. and bring out all the residents, visitors, and tourists to visit, shop, dine, and look at art and listen to music.
How can you get involved? Come to the next planning meeting on Wed. 8 a.m. here at The Pantry, 720 Garden, to put your ideas to paper. We want your input!
Sheila Duda, TeaLula, is the Chair of the Retail Committee – call her at 847.823.8327 or email her at sduda@tealula.com.
