Park Ridge Residential Beautification Awards
Would you like to receive recognition for your beautifully landscaped home? The City of Park Ridge, the Park Ridge Garden Club and the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring a Beautification Awards Program for all residents in the City of Park Ridge.
Judging will be done by an independent non-biased committee and will be done on the street view portion of the property only. The following standards for evaluating landscape design will be used:
• Year-round overall appearance – paved areas, condition of building, perennial plants
• Design – color, layout, originality, beauty, special feature.
• Lawn condition – maintenance, quality of turf.
• Trees, shrubs – condition of plants, proportion and scale of plants to structures.
• Flowers and other plantings – variety, color, condition
Last year’s winners received certificates suitable for framing from the Garden Club, lawn signs from the City, and gift bags from the Chamber of Commerce containing gift certificates from approximately 20 local businesses and valued over $300. If you would like to donate 10 gift certificates from your business, let me know.
