Park Ridge Residential Beautification Awards
The City of Park Ridge, the Park Ridge Garden Club and the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce are co-sponsoring a Beautification Awards Program for all residents in the City of Park Ridge. The awards Program gives special recognition to those residents who have made their homes and landscaping the most attractive in our City.
Last year’s winners received certificates suitable for framing from the Garden Club, lawn signs from the City, and gift bags from the Chamber of Commerce containing gift certificates from approximately 20 local businesses and valued over $300.
Judging will be done by an independent non-biased committee and will be done on the street view portion of the property only. The following standards for evaluating landscape design will be used:
• Year-round overall appearance – paved areas, condition of buildings, perennial plant material.
• Design – color, layout, originality, beauty, special feature.
• Lawn condition – maintenance, quality of turf.
• Trees, shrubs – condition of plant material, proportion and scale of plant material to structures.
• Flowers and other plantings – variety, color, condition
If you would like to donate 10 gift certificates from your business, let me know.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is the new smash-hit musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock 'n' roll icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first and only time.
On December 4, 1956, these four young musicians gathered at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the greatest jam sessions ever. MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET brings that legendary night to life, featuring a score of rock hits including "Blue Suede Shoes," "Fever," "That's All Right," "Sixteen Tons," "Great Balls of Fire," "Walk the Line," "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On," "Who Do You Love?," "Matchbox," "Folsom Prison Blues," "Hound Dog" and more.
This thrilling musical brings you inside the recording studio with four major talents who came together as a red-hot rock 'n' roll band for one unforgettable night. Don't miss your chance to be a fly on the wall of fame... at MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET! http://www.milliondollarquartetlive.com/about.html

Did you know that the Chamber sends boxes of goodies and information to every new property owner in Park Ridge?

Members pay $275 annually to be a part of the Greeter Box program and you can put in brochures, pens, samples (no food please), menus, etc.

The boxes are assembled by the students with special needs at Maine East High School under the direction of teacher, Jeff Gallichio.

It’s a great way to get your name in front of new residents in town (when they’re looking for new dentists, doctors, restaurants, shops, etc.) Stop by the Chamber and we can show you a sample of the Greeter Box.
