It will be a fun, family event for everyone of all ages and sizes so please register for it. Harry O’Brien Community Run/Walk is Approaching!
Saturday, August 27 is the Harry O’Brien Community Run/Walk. The event will start at The Park Ridge Senior Center at 9am for runners and 9:15am walkers. The Fun Run Course is 3 miles flat & fast loop, and the Kids Run & Walk Course is a 1.5 mile loop. Register online: $22 adult registration, $15 18 years and under, & bring the whole family! -Strollers, bicycles, and dogs are welcome- Help raise money to benefit local social service agencies. Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory
-Fudge For Troops Fudge for Troops
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is working with the VFW Post to send fudge to troops overseas. During the month of July, the shop is donating 1 pound of fudge for every pound sold. Park Ridge VFW Post 3579 is coordinating the shipment of the fudge, which will be included with care packages they regularly send to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Fudge is a great treat to ship, since it does not melt. The tally of amount donated is being tracked on a thermometer-like scale on the front window. The goal is to ship 100 pounds!

National Night Out
-8/2/11 Hodges Park National Night Out in Park Ridge
On Tuesday, August 2, the Park Ridge Police Department will join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “27th Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event. This great event is for the whole family, and will be celebrated in Park Ridge at Hodges Park from 6:30pm-9:00pm. There will be free giveaways at this event, and if you have materials you would like to contribute, please send them to The Park Ridge Police Department no later than 7/27!
