Gail's Weekly Chamber UPDATE

From Gail

Last week was our luncheon at Outback Steakhouse and our featured speaker was funnyman Derick Lengwenus. About 35 Chamber members came together and met, ate, and had a great time. Thank you to Rich Callahan at Outback for having us!

Saturday was the Electronics Recycling with 335 cars in 3 hours! Thank you to Liberty Bank, Maine Township, and Maine Township Highway Commissioner Robert Provenzano for sponsoring. Thank you to Mike McGrath from the City for working so hard. The event was co-hosted by the City, the Chamber, and the Park District.

Merchants, when you get your coupons, highlight your name and return them to the Chamber for a drawing. Winner gets a free dedicated eblast.

Also offers a change for retailers to get together and discuss issues on the last Wednesday each month in the evening after shops have closed. October 26 6:30 to 8:00, will continue discussion of social media including facebook, twitter, etc.

Lee Acupuncture Did you know that Monday, October 24th is National Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day?
To celebrate the occasion, Mary Lee Quaid, Licensed Acupuncturist and owner of Lee Acupuncture and Healing Center is offering mini-stress reduction treatments. If you have always wanted to try Acupuncture but never found the time or were a little apprehensive about what the treatments were like, this is the perfect opportunity for you to sample this ancient healing medicine. Mary Lee will offer 20 minute treatments for just $20 and will be using 2 acupuncture points known for stress reduction. It is called the 20-20-2 celebration for AOM (Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day). To celebrate the day and introduce you to Acupuncture and explain tongue and pulse diagnosis, Mary Lee will be available to schedule appointments over the next few weeks. Just give her clinic at call at 847-830-8817, mention the 20-20-2 celebration, and book your appointment. It's just that simple. You can also email her clinic at leeacupuncture.com@gmail.com.

Tasty Pup
Tasty Pup would like to thank St. Paul of the Cross for considering us for their October 11th fundraiser.
It was an amazing success.

Lisa’s Italian Ice Halloween is right around the corner. We have treat bags as
low as $1.00 up to a 2 gallon tin for $30.00. These are great
for teachers to give their students, to sweeten up an office mate or
