Weekly Chamber Update

Hope your holidays were fabulous! Remember that those who renew by year end receive a sponsor link on our welcome page for 1 month! Thank you to those who have
Looks like there's a wonderful chain reaction starting in Park Ridge....

It IS like a movie! Inspired by the generous gesture of Eric Nelson, Nelson Automotive, to match whatever the Park Ridge Community Fund can raise, up to $7,000, by Dec. 31, another wonderful neighbor has picked up the ball.

Ron Lundin of Lin-Mar Motors, Morton Grove has offered to match whatever we raise up to $3,500 by Dec. 31! So if you've been planning to give to the Park Ridge Community Fund, your impact is even greater now!

The need is great everywhere these days, but you can help so many good causes with just one gift to the Park Ridge Community Fund. For more than half a century, local business owners and residents like you have generously helped the Park Ridge Community Fund make life better, neighbor to neighbor.
The Park Ridge Community Fund is a locally-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Your one gift supports local charities and non-profit organizations that provide medical research, rehabilitation, health care education, safe emergency housing and care for women and their children; support for the sick and their families; services to help seniors stay engaged and healthy, and activities to provide wholesome outlets for kids and teens. And that’s just the beginning!
To learn more about the many services your gift makes possible and to donate safely online, please visit www.prcommunityfund.org. Eric Nelson and Ron Lundin are waiting to help make your gift of caring go twice as far this holiday season and beyond, so please donate before December 31.

The retail committee has scheduled a First Fridays Pop Up Market for January! This event creates solutions to the New Years’ resolutions of Park Ridge citizens. Whether it be a health and fitness plan for 2012, or the tools to learn a new skill, local merchants will be set up at 116 Main St. to provide insight and support for the new year.

Tables will cost $40 each for non-registered First Friday participants. We’re inviting a variety of local businesses to present their solutions (only licensed Park Ridge Businesses permitted). Restaurants are welcome to sell their food (they will need a temporary food service permit), and merchants will be able to sell their products as well. Please contact the Chamber today at 847-825-3121 and reserve your table by this Friday, December 30th!
